During this restoration I have taken and collected hundreds of photographs not only to record this period of the car’s history but also to aid my memory when reassembling things. I hope that they might also be a reference for anybody contemplating something similar. The methods and procedures I have used are not to be regarded as definitive and although many are common sense they can be non specific to the 541. Whenever I was unsure or ignorant I consulted with people better experienced than me in their particular field for help and it remains to be seen if  I have interpreted their advice correctly. These scrapbooks represent the main areas of the restoration  and illustrate the more interesting topics only.
